Founding event of the Migrant:innenElternNetzwerk Bremen

On 15 November 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Regional Office North of the Federal Parents' Network of Migrant Organisations for Education & Participation (bbt) is organising a founding event of the Migrant Parents' Network Bremen.

With the aim of improving the educational opportunities of migrant children, the network works to give migrant organisations, parents' associations and initiatives as well as active multipliers in parental work a strong voice in asserting their interests in educational policy issues and to promote active parental participation for equal educational opportunities and living democracy. In addition, the network also works to break down barriers to political participation.

The event will take place under the patronage of the new Senator for Education, Sascha Karolin Aulepp. Prof. Yasemin Karakaşoğlu from the Department of Intercultural Education at the University of Bremen will give the evening's keynote speech. There will be an opportunity for exchange with representatives from education, politics, administration and civil society.
