Not only having a say, but also deciding! Parliamentary Elections in Bremen 2023 A Training Course to Support Political Participation of Migrant Organizations

On May 14, 2023, the parliamentary elections will take place in Bremen. It is important to take a closer look at the voting behavior of the population. Bremen residents with a migration background make up 39.2 percent of the city's population, but fewer and fewer people are casting their votes in the elections. In the last citizenship election in 2019 in Bremen, only 64.1 percent of eligible voters participated in the elections. Especially people with a migration background often feel that election campaigns do not address them enough. In this workshop, we offer a multifaceted education on the upcoming election. We will try to give input on the statutes of the elections and develop strategies so that you can confidently advise your own community on the topic of elections.
