QUO VADIS AFGHANISTAN: Conference of the Afghan/German Cultural Initiative

Where is development taking the country of Afghanistan?
After 44 years of civil war, 21 of them with the participation of NATO and the German armed forces, the war-torn country and its population continue to be among the poorest and most underdeveloped countries in the world. According to unofficial figures, the U.S. invested 850 billion U.S. dollars and the Federal Republic 12 billion euros in the war.

The situation and perspectives of the Afghan people in the country itself and of Afghan refugees in Germany/Bremen are the topics of the conference, about which experts and people concerned will speak in 5 workshops with the titles:

The War in Afghanistan - End of the Line Taliban? Thomas Ruttig
NATO Withdrawal - An Act of German-Afghan Friendship? Matin Baraki
One Step Forward, 2 Steps Back - Fate of Women in Afghanistan? Hila Latifi
