On the background of the network:
Migrant organizations participate in democratic life in Bremen. They promote the social, economic, cultural and political participation of people living in Germany who have themselves experienced migration or come from families with a migration history. We at the House of Resources are convinced that commitment is necessary in Bremen in order to effectively bring to bear the social and cultural interests of people with a migration history and their civic engagement. In many communities and regions, migrant organizations are joining together to form local networks (also associations) and are committed to working together in a secular, party-politically neutral, democratic manner that transcends origin and culture. In this way, they create a modern and new type of migrant organization in order to work for the socio-cultural interests of people with and without a migration history on the ground.
Sevda Atik accompanies us in this project. As a process consultant, she supports us in professional and sustainable organisational development and networking. She will also moderate this conference and the exchange.
We are already looking forward to active participation for more political and social co-determination of migrant organisations in Bremen.
