On Nov. 19, 2022, an important event was held at the Lagerhaus cultural center in Bremen that focused on the integration of migrants into the labor market. Under the title "WorldCafe", experts came together to discuss educational and vocational qualification opportunities in a protected setting. Representatives of the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Selbsthilfe behinderter Menschen Bremen e.V. were also on hand to advise the guests.
Migrants make an important contribution to economic prosperity in Germany and especially in Bremen. Nevertheless, many hurdles still need to be overcome in order to allow people to participate equally in good work. The event explained what measures can be taken to overcome these hurdles and support people on their way into the labor market.
During the event, a meeting and exchange place was created in the cafeteria on the 3rd floor of the Lagerhaus Cultural Center. Here, various finger food specialties from different countries were served and coffee and tea were offered. This contributed to a relaxed and casual ambience in which the participants could exchange and network.
