About the project

The association Toleranz, Jugend, Verständigung e.V. (Tolerance, Youth, Understanding). (short: TJV e.V.) is the responsible body for the House of Resources project in Bremen. We are an association for migrants that has existed since 1980. The association has set itself the task of representing the professional, social, sporting and cultural interests of migrants from all over the world living in Bremen and the surrounding area. Our association also wants to contribute to promoting understanding between migrants and German society, as well as mutual understanding of the cultural values and ideas of the peoples.

The association has been based in the Lagerhaus cultural centre since its foundation. The Lagerhaus is particularly charming in its design. Here you can learn in an atmosphere that does not remind you of monotonous school buildings and classrooms. Solid stone walls and plenty of space create a very special ambience in which one enjoys spending time. Interactivity and interdisciplinarity have a long tradition in this building - a good prerequisite for acquiring a wide variety of qualifications here.

Since 2021, the House of Resources project has been part of the TJV e.V.
